Frequently Asked Questions About LaunchPoint Talent Programs
Students:
Who do you work with?
We work with undergraduate students at every stage of their career journey—whether they’re exploring majors, applying to leadership programs, or preparing for internships and full-time roles. We also partner with caregivers who want to actively support their student with clarity and confidence.
When should students start career prep?
Campus career centers are valuable resources, but they’re often broad and stretched thin. LaunchPoint Talent provides personalized, strategic coaching that goes deeper than quick resume reviews or drop-in hours. We draw on real-world corporate recruiting experience to help students stand out in today’s competitive job market.
What if I don’t know what I want to do yet?
That’s completely normal. Many students aren’t sure of their path at first. We guide you through career exploration tools, values exercises, and industry insights to help narrow down options and find directions that align with your strengths and interests.
Do you help with resumes and interviews?
Yes. We provide resume reviews, interview prep, and mock interviews tailored to your target roles. Our coaching helps you translate your experiences into strong applications and confident interviews.
Caregivers:
Can caregivers join the process?
Yes. Caregivers are an important part of a student’s support system. We welcome your involvement and provide space for your questions. Together, we make sure everyone feels clear and confident about the path ahead.
How are parents and caregivers involved?
Your role can be as hands-on or hands-off as you and your student choose. Some attend consultations, others want periodic updates, and some step back while their student leads the process. We provide resources and clarity for families so you can encourage, support, and celebrate without added stress.
What kind of outcomes should we expect?
Every student’s journey is unique, but most gain:
Clarity about career direction
Confidence in resumes, networking, and interviews
Momentum toward internships or job offers
We focus on helping students make tangible progress toward meaningful career goals.
How is this different from my school’s career center?
Career centers are valuable partners, and they’re often stretched thin. We offer personalized, strategic coaching that goes deeper than quick resume reviews or drop-in hours. With real-world recruiting expertise, we prepare students to stand out in today’s competitive market.
Our Approach:
What makes LaunchPoint Talent different?
We specialize exclusively in early career success for college students. With 20+ years of insider recruiting experience, we know what employers look for and how students can shine. Our approach is coaching-first, personalized, and results-driven—not one-size-fits-all.
What can I expect from a consultation?
A consultation is a relaxed, personalized conversation. We’ll learn more about your goals, challenges, and questions, then share how we can support your next steps. It’s not a sales pitch—just a chance to see if we’re the right fit.
Do you offer group workshops or just one-on-one coaching?
We offer both. One-on-one coaching provides personalized support, while group workshops create opportunities to learn, practice, and connect with peers. Many families and schools choose a blend of the two.
Do you work with non-business majors?
We do work with students from other disciplines. Though much of our experience is with business students and individuals seeking roles in business—in areas like accounting, finance, consulting, and marketing, many of our career readiness tools and strategies apply across majors, especially for students interested in roles that connect to the business world. If you’re still exploring your path or considering how your skills translate into different industries, we can help you gain clarity, build confidence, and move forward with a plan.
